Various Olympiads / Exams for 8th class students Name of Exam

NSEJS - If age criteria is satisfied. It covers upto 10th class PCMB. Student can also appear for NSEJS in 9th and 10th class if age criteria is satisfied.

Most of the students are eligible in 9th class.

2. RMO - This is a maths olympiad. This olympiad is for only those students who have special interest in mathematics. Student upto 11th class can appear in RMO. SOme state/regional coordinators have separate papers for junior and senior class. Syllabus is advanced 10th class.
3. Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme ( In field of Indian art & culture for the age group of 10-14 years): Click here
4. Bal Shree awards - The winners are awarded by the President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan
5 Astar Scholarship by Singapore: This exam is for 8th pass students for 4 years completely free studies in Singapore. A star scholarship by Singapore Government: Click here

Things which class 8th student should be doing:

  1. Play regularly
  2. Study daily, Read Newspaper if you have interest, Read stories!!
  3. Develop your hobbies. Now you narrow down your interest to specific one. For example if interested in hobbies then it should be singing / dancing / acting / painting etc.
  4. You should try to get idea about the profession in which you might be interested in.
  5. Prepare for NTSE(National talent Search Examination) and other olympiads of your interest.
