Kendriya Vidyala Junior Mathematics Olympiad

- Prizes:
Cash awards of Rs.10,000/-, Rs.8,000 and Rs.5,000/- for securing first, second and third position respectively at KVS level (b) Rs.5000/-, Rs.4000/- and Rs.3000/- respectively for securing first, second and third position at Regional Level (c) Merit certificates are given to first 500 students in JMO.

- Second Prize: BIswaji Paria (KV IIT Kharagpur) Class X
- Third Prize: Atish Dipankar Nath (KV IIT Kharagpur) Class X
- Eligibility: 10th class students who have secured 55% marks in aggregate and 60% in mathematics in 9th class examination in KV.
- Syllabus: There is no fixed syllabus. Sound knowledge of Mathematics upto class 9th and Algebra of Class 10th will be normally covered for KVS Jr. Mathematical Olympiad.
- Registration Fee: Rs.40/-(Rupees forrty only) per student (To be sent along with Format for Registration (Annexure-II). Fee for SC/ST students will be paid out of Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi of the KV concerned. TA/DA for students to appear in JMO is to be borne by KV concerned as per KVS Rules.
- Procedure forRegistration: The eligible & willing candidate has to register herself/himself on prescribed form (Annexure-I) in duplicate. The school will retain one copy of the filled in registration form and the other copy may be sent to this office for record. However, consolidated list of students registered for the Olympiad along with a Single Demand Draft for the total amount collected as registration fee @ Rs40/- per student should be sent to the Principal of Examination Centre concerned with copy to this office. The DD should be made in favour of “Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan” payable at Bhopal. The Principal of the Examination Centre will send all DDs alongwith consolidated list of participants in his/her cluster/centre to this office in the format given in Annexure-II so as to reach latest by 17th July 2009 for sending the same to KVS(Hq).
- Last date for registration of students: 15th July 2009
- Admit Card: The admit card to the students will be issued by the Principal after allotting the Roll Number and Examination Centre. However, the roll number on the admit card should remain the same as allotted in registration form of the candidate.
- Examination Centres (In 2009) : Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Bhopal, CPE Itarsi, No.1 Indore, Ajni Nagpur & No.5 Gwalior have been identified as Examination Centers in Bhopal Region.

- Allocation of Roll Numbers:
The Principal of KV concerned will allocate the Roll No. on registration form of each candidate. The same roll number should be mentioned on the admit card. The roll numbers will be allocated strictly in the following manners:
Each student will be allotted nine-digit roll number. The first two digits on the left will show the region code, next four digits will show the Vidyalaya code and last three digits will show the serial number of the candidate.
