NTSE Exam Pattern

X Class

NTSE First Stage Examination consists of 2 parts (can vary in some states):

  1. Mental Ability test (MAT): 90 Questions, 90 minutes
  2. Scholastic Aptitude test (SAT): 90 Questions (35 questions from Science, 35 questions from Social Studies and
    20 questions from Mathematics) 90 minutes.
  3. Social Science inlcudes His, Geo, civ and economics
  4. All questions MCQ (single correct answer)

NTSE Second Stage Examination consists of 2 parts:

  1. Mental Ability test (MAT): 50 Questions, 90 minutes
  2. Language Test - 50 questions
  3. Scholastic Aptitude test (SAT): 100 Questions , 90 minutes

Discontinuance of interview in National Talent Search Scheme The interview process for selection of awardees under National Talent Search Scheme is being discontinued from the selection year 2011. The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit in the second level written examination of Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and Mental Ability Test (MAT).
